Tanaine Jenkins is an award-winning Recidivism Strategist, Consultant, public speaker, and State Organizer for REFORM Alliance. After spending 10 years in the Florida Department of Corrections, she turned her lived experience into a career focused on dismantling the “Second Sentence”—the barriers that follow people long after incarceration.
Tanaine serves as Director of the Florida Safety Coalition, President of Everything I Am LLC, and founder of Second Sentence Awareness. She is a 2022 TEDx Jacksonville speaker, an author, a member of Dream.org’s 2026 cohort, and the creator of a six-week speaking program for incarcerated women.
Her work helps people, organizations, and systems move beyond punishment and toward possibility.
