Incarcerated Student Borrowers in Default (ISBD)

A pilot program to provide essential support to incarcerated students with defaulted student loans, helping them regain good standing and access future opportunities. As we pilot a streamlined and enhanced version of ISBD, we’re working directly with Higher Education in Prison (HEP) programs to connect their students with this critical support. By collaborating closely with HEP programs, we aim to establish a strong foundation and best practices for expanding ISBD’s impact in the future.
