Maurice Davenport serves as a Crisis Response Specialist at Hope Harbor in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where he provides advocacy and crisis intervention for survivors of sexual assault. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Social Work at the University of Louisville, Maurice is dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by the criminal justice system through active mentorship, public speaking, volunteer work, and research focused on institutional barriers facing individuals with criminal records.

Having been charged as an adult within the criminal legal system during his teenage years, Maurice grounds his coaching in genuine empathy, shared understanding, and a clear vision for self-advocacy. He is passionate about advancing carceral health equity and assisting returning citizens as they navigate reentry and achieve their objectives.

Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Maurice enjoys traveling, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and six-year-old son.
