Ben Wright is a dedicated and accomplished writer, educator, and project manager with over a decade of experience in teaching, communications, and leadership. With a strong background in Special Education, English, and Deaf Education, Ben holds an M.A. in English Literature and an anticipated M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, as well as an M.Ed. in Special Education from The Ohio State University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in English Literature, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
As the Communications and Research Manager at The Community, Ben excels in grant writing, research, and content development, particularly within the non-profit sector. His role involves designing and optimizing email campaigns, managing newsletters, and communicating with incarcerated individuals. Ben's leadership was evident as the Project AIM Coordinator at SNHU, where he led initiatives to help incarcerated individuals access higher education and employment opportunities. He also organized the "Stop the Stigma" conference, drawing over 300 attendees in its first year.
A proven leader and communicator, Ben has presented at multiple conferences, including the 2024 ADARA Conference and the National Conference for Higher Education in Prisons. His thesis, "Perceptions of Disability and Gender in Literature," is published on ProQuest.
