FAQ

Does the program cost money to participate and is there a stipend provided to participants?

No, FICGN has paid for the curriculum and coaching and retreat costs so that there is no required cost for participation. There is not currently a stipend associated with the program.

How much time commitment does the program require?

The cohort meets for 2 hours roughly 10 times throughout the 5 months, then spends 3 days in-person at a closing retreat. On top of that, the curriculum requires roughly 5 hours per week on average to complete. Participants also meet with their executive coaches for eight 1-hr sessions during the program.

Who is eligible for the FIELD program?

Every participant must be formerly incarcerated, which generally means confined against their will for a period of time. Every participant needs to work with or for a nonprofit organization in a middle to senior level role. This could include program managers, executive directors, board presidents, or similar positions. It does not include entry level or volunteer positions.

What are the expectations for participation during the program?

Attendance at all virtual sessions with camera on and active engagement is highly recommended. It’s fine if a participant must miss a session or jump off camera for a personal reason, but the power of the program is the group coming together which requires interaction. The in-person retreat is a vital component that caps off the program, so we ask that participants do not bring outside work with them.
