We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our Social Impact team, the corporate social responsibility arm of the company, which is housed within our broader Marketing & Communications organization, for a 12-week internship program. This internship provides a unique and valuable learning opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in multiple career paths including but not limited to marketing & communications, social impact (corporate social responsibility), and non-profit partnerships.
If you passionate about making positive change with communities who have been impacted by the criminal justice systems, educational barriers/ opportunities or broader societal inequities, this would be an amazing opportunity for you to gain a unique skillset in how corporations interaction responsibly with social justice sector and be immersed in bridging the gap between corporate functions and nonprofit/philanthropic programmatic partnerships.
A passionate and successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals, participate in various forms of project work, and learn how LinkedIn contributes to socially and equitably with professionals overcoming barriers in hopes of creating career opportunities through empathy-driven and dignified initiatives/ partnerships.
This is a full-time, 12-week internship that will take place between May – September 2024.

What you can expect from our summer internship program
Learn about LinkedIn’s history and culture through our Summer Intern onboarding experience.
Socialize and build your network through regular check-ins, lunches, and events with fellow interns.
Develop relationships with and secure guidance from mentors from your immediate team and from one of our seven Employee Resource Groups.
Participate in regular Q&As with LinkedIn leadership.
Highlight projects you observed and contributed to in an End of Summer Wrap-Up with your fellow interns, in a fun and engaging forum.
Work closely with cross-functional marketing and social impact teams to learn the ins and outs of researching and connecting with leading nonprofits doing innovative programmatic work inside the criminal justice system, workforce development, and beyond
Assist with executing marketing and/or communications strategy, plans, campaigns and events in partnership with a range of non-profit partners and organizations
Support partnership operations to build understanding of corporate social responsibility landscapes
Engage closely with social impact teams who drive equitable partnerships with nonprofits who aim to assist professionals overcoming unique barriers
Basic analysis on program/campaign performance and provide recommendations and insights based on data
Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, academic program at an accredited college or university to obtain a bachelor’s degree between by June of 2026 or earlier
Must be returning to school the term following your summer internship
Understanding and strong interest in social issues
Changemaker mindset- caring deeply about equity and some experience working on community impact or nonprofit programs
Deep empathy towards the nonprofit experience and passionate about bringing resources to organizations and helping them be successful in their initiatives
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build great relationships with both internal teams and external community members
Strong project management, research and planning skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
You’re eager to contribute to brainstorms, and you can generate new thinking and ideas with a “yes and” mentality. You’ve got a few solutions at the ready when issues arise
Strong analytical skills, including basic data analysis
Basic marketing and communications experience (classes, internships, projects, etc.) Analyzing a social problem in your community or environment and developing an action plan or initiative to be apart of the solution
Proficient in MS Suite (SharePoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPTX)
Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, Political Science, International Relations, or similar
